Viacom and Endemol have joined forces to launch a new a new TV network targeting women ages 16-49.
Positioned in various parts of Europe, Viacom Blink! will attempt to add more adult female viewers to the Viacom stable of cable properties.
"Its about continuing to grow our portfolio, Bob Bakish, president and CEO of Viacom International Media Networks, told Reuters. "We serve kids and families with Nickelodeon, the youth market with MTV and are beginning to build a significant adult position with Comedy Central."
Viacom Blink! will feature programs including "Hot in Cleveland", "Make Me A Supermodel", "Forensic Investigators", "Rescue Special Ops", "Home and Away", "The Secret Life of Us", "Spirited", "Gok's Fashion Fix', "The Little Couple" and "Fear Factor US."
The brand will debut in Poland this summer, rolling out later in Central Europe, the Middle East and Latin America.
"We believe there is a broad opportunity in the pay TV landscape associated with a service like this," Bakish said.
