FX released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming Zach Galifianakis comedy series “Baskets” on Tuesday.
In the teaser, Chip Baskets (Galifianakis) arrives at a fast food drive thru but is unimpressed with its soda selection. After being denied a tangerine Fanta and a Pepsi Lime, Baskets loses it when he can’t even get a Schweppes.
In the series, Chip Baskets, a Bakersfield, California, man yearns to become a respected professional clown, but after an unsuccessful enrollment at a prestigious clowning school in Paris, the only job he can find is with the local rodeo.
The series is co-created by Galifianakis, Louis C.K. and “Portlandia’s” Jonathan Krisel. It is the first project under FX Productions’ overall deal with Louis C.K. and his production company, Pig Newton.
“Baskets” will debut on FX in 2016.
