Jon Stewart got very serious — and for a moment, very hacky — as he took on Virginia's anti-sodomy law.
Virginia attorney general and Republican gubernatorial candidtate recently petitioned to keep the state's law against oral and anal sex on the books. Stewart noted on "The Daily Show" Tuesday that the law would apply to homosexuals and heterosexuals alike.
"What? There's a married adult oral sex variety?" Stewart asked, as a grim comedy club backdrop appeared behind him and he took on the role of a hacky standup.
"Am I right, people? Married people know what I'm talking about," he said. "Sodomy? I'd settle for some Gomorrah at this point. This guy knows what I'm talkin' about."
But then Stewart addressed the serious consequences of the Virginia laws.
"If blowjobs are outlawed," he gravely explained, "only outlaws will get blowjobs."
