It was the year 2000, and a young, happy-go-lucky waiter who lived in a van decided that he wanted to be an actor.

So naturally, he did what any aspiring thespian at the time had to do in order to make it in Hollywood: Dress up like an Abercrombie model on a teen soap opera and get his photo taken.
It ended up working out, for the young actor was cast in several small parts and then got a break on, as was predictable, a teen soap opera on the then-WB Network. Life was good for the former van-living waiter, who no longer lived in a van.

Fast forward eight years after that show, “Everwood,” ended its run, and Chris Pratt is now an international A-list movie star, with the number one movie of the year in “Guardians of the Galaxy” and an animated hit in “The Lego Movie.” Oh, and he’s also the opening host of the 40th season of “Saturday Night Live.”
