Laura Ingraham Mocks ‘Little Twerp’ CNN Reporter Polo Sandoval (Video)

The barb came during a discussion of sex trafficking at the U.S. border on Ingraham’s show

Laura Ingraham ripped CNN reporter Polo Sandoval on her Fox News show Thursday night, calling the reporter from the network rival a “little twerp.”

“There are people — I know you’ve seen then — on other cable networks who laughed at the president the other day. It happened on ‘Morning Joe’ because I watched it, and it happened on CNN,” Ingraham said during a discussion of sex trafficking at the southern border.

Ingraham then played a clip of Sandoval giving a border “fact check” from an earlier CNN broadcast, which attempted to refute a number of President Donald Trump’s claims about the issue.

“Who is this little twerp?” Ingraham laughed afterward, before being chided by former Homeland Security agent Tim Ballard, who said the issue was no joking matter and that we needed “the wall” to protect children from being sex trafficked.

“Let’s be real for the kids. Can we be real for the kids? These kids need us right now. They need this wall, so we can rescue them and curb this epidemic,” Ballard said.

On his Fox News show Thursday night, Sean Hannity also took a shot at CNN, asking if the network was “tired of just being wrong.”

“I just have one question for anyone who works at fake news CNN, do you ever get tired of just being wrong and embarrassing yourself so often?” Hannity said in his opening monologue.

Reps for Fox News and Sandoval at CNN did not immediately respond to request for comment from TheWrap.

Ingraham’s commentary suggests she has no plans to pivot away from a style which has led to dozens of advertisers dropping her show. Since mid-2018, “The Ingraham Angle” has had a lighter ad load as sponsors have redirected their commercial buys to other Fox News shows. The network has repeatedly vowed to stick with her, and in the past, dismissed the boycott as politically motivated.
