Mark Duplass Raises Olivia Wilde From the Dead in First ‘Lazarus Effect’ Trailer (Video)

Donald Glover and Evan Peters co-star in the next horror flick from producer Jason Blum

What happens when you bring Olivia Wilde back from the dead? According to the first trailer for Blumhouse Productions horror “The Lazarus Effect,” nothing good.

Mark Duplass (“The League”) stars as a medical student leading a project experimenting with a serum capable of bringing animals back from the dead. But when his girlfriend (Wilde) accidentally dies in the process, he tries the Lazarus serum on her.

While it works, she’s not herself, and may have brought something back from Hell with her.

The movie directed by David Gelb (“Jiro Dreams of Sushi”) appears to be a mix of Stephen King‘s “Pet Cemetery” and “Flatliners,” a 1990 thriller also about medical students experimenting with death.

Relativity Media is releasing “The Lazarus Effect,” co-starring Donald Glover and Evan Peters, in theaters on Feb. 27.
