‘Morning Joe’ to Seth Meyers: Trump is ‘Almost at the Point of No Return’ (Video)

“We never expected it to be quite this bad,” Joe Scarborough tells the “Late Night” host

MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski stopped by “Late Night with Seth Meyers” on Tuesday night to rip Donald Trump, saying his presidency is “far worse” than expected.

“It’s almost at the point of no return,” Brzezinski said.

Scarborough chimed in: “It is dogs and cats living together… We’ve known the guy for 10, 11, 12 years and we never expected it to be quite this bad.”

Scarborough and Brzezinski have a bizarre relationship with Trump. They were early supporters and were once accused of feeding him questions during an MSNBC town hall. Scarborough has been spotted at Trump’s Florida resort as a New Year’s Eve party was kicking off; he was also seen clapping for Trump during the recent join address to Congress.

“Morning Joe” has since emerged as a show that is now extremely critical of Trump and his administration. Brzezinski has said that people are “scared,” and famously banned White House senior aide Kellyanne Conway from appearing on the MSNBC morning show. The president recently unfollowed the MSNBC duo on Twitter – which Scarborough joked was a “highlight” of his month.

“It shows that we got in his head,” Brzezinski said.

Scarborough went to on explain what made Trump unfollow them and stop watching the show, noting a time that he said on-air that other politicians deliver stronger ratings.

“He went crazy, sent me a letter, had a spreadsheet. Talked about how his ratings were higher than ours,” he said. “We said all of these horrible things about his during the campaign. Said he was a racist, a bigot, it all rolled right off his back. The second we said Chris Christie and Bernie Sanders out-rated him, that was the end.”
