In the latest trailer for CBS’ upcoming series “Supergirl,” Kara Zor-El (Melissa Benoist) realizes her true potential when she uses her powers to save a plane that is about to crash.
“There’s something about me that, for most of my life, I’ve run from it,” Kara says to her neighbor, Winn (Jeremy Jordan). “But last night, I embraced who I am. I’m her, the woman who saved the plane!”
We also get a brief look at Kara as she walks through a hail of bullets to stop a crime, as well as ripping off her work attire to reveal her Supergirl costume underneath. Plus, a silhouetted version of Superman appears as the Man of Steel helps young Kara from her Kryptonian escape pod.
In addition to Benoist and Jordan, the series also stars Calista Flockhart, Mehcad Brooks, David Harewood and Chyler Leigh.
“Supergirl” premieres on CBS on October 27 at 8:30/7:30c.
