J.J. Abrams wants to know where the Rey toys are, too.

The director of “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” slammed the lack of merchandise for Daisy Ridley‘s character, the female hero of the film.

“It seems preposterous and wrong that the main character of the movie is not well-represented in what is clearly a huge piece of the ‘Star Wars’ world, in terms of merchandising,” Abrams told TheWrap Saturday following a TCA panel.

The exclusion of Rey from box sets of Hasbro “Star Wars” action figures prompted fan outrage that was funneled through the hashtag #WheresRey on Twitter. That outrage was renewed when Rey was excluded from a “Star Wars” Monopoly game available on Amazon.

“I read that she wasn’t in the Monopoly game and was quickly making phone calls,” Abrams said. He addded, with some sarcasm at the end, “It doesn’t quite make sense to me why she wouldn’t be there — she’s somewhat important in the story.”

Abrams also discussed expectations that the movie will top $1 billion at the U.S. box office.

“I’m grateful to anyone that’s gone to see the movie, and when I hear anecdotally that people have gone seven, eight times, I just want to apologize to — I’m guessing their parents,” Abrams said.

“Whatever the numbers are, honestly, I’m just so grateful that the movie is out there and been well-received.”
