Warner Bros Dates Two DC Films for 2020, Another Animated Title for Next Year

Studio slate update will have you playing “Guess the Superhero Movie?”

Warner Bros. Pictures just released a few housekeeping notes, one that sees them doubling up on DC Films projects in three years, and planting flags for an “event” film as well as another animated title.

A pair of untitled DC projects have been dated for February 14 and  June 5 of 2020. The last known titled DCU film is Jason Momoa’s “Aquaman,” which hits just before next Christmas in 2018.

Several development titles could be in mind for those slots, like Matt Reeves’ “The Batman,” the Ezra Miller-led “The Flash” or even the Cold War sequel to this summer’s runaway hit “Wonder Woman.”

In addition, Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams’ “Game Night” has been punted up from this coming Valentine’s Day to March 2, 2018.

There’s also plans for an untitled WB Animation project (another “Lego Movie,” perhaps?) and an “Event Film,” which inspires yet more beard scratching.

Here’s the updated calendar, tell us your theories in comments:

An UNTITLED WB ANIMATION FILM will be released on 06/01/18
