Fox Asks Adam Lambert to ‘Dance’

The singer deemed too controversial for ABC latenight will visit the season finale of “So You Think You Can Dance”

Who needs Jimmy Kimmel? Glambert’s got "So You Think You Can Dance."

"American Idol" runner-up Adam Lambert has been booked to perform on the Dec. 16 season finale of Fox’s dance competition, the network announced Monday. He’ll perform his single "Whataya Want From Me," which sounds appropriate given the recent kerfuffle over his American Music Awards performance.

On one hand, it’s no shocker Lambert would appear on "Dance": One of the show’s producers is 19 Entertainment, which is half the team behind "Idol."

The other producer of the series, however, is Dick Clark Productions, which produces the AMAs. Clark is also behind "New Year’s Rockin’ Eve," the show Lambert had been scheduled to perform on pre-AMAs.

So apparently, if Clark’s company ever had any hard feelings over the situation– and, in truth, there’s little evidence to suggest it did– they’ve evaporated. As has TV MoJoe’s interest in writing about this non-story.
