“I Am Cait” stumbled hard in the ratings for its second week, losing more than half of its viewership.
Sunday’s episode of the E! series — which chronicles Caitlyn’s transition from man to woman — drew 1.292 million total viewers, TV By the Numbers reports.
That’s a far cry from the 2.732 million who tuned in for the July 26 premiere.
In the key 18-49 demographic, the sophomore airing of “I Am Cait” posted a 0.6 rating, also considerably off from the 1.2 rating that the premiere had received.
Though the week-to-week dropoff for “I Am Cait” is steep, the Week 2 ratings aren’t disastrous by E! standards. While the network’s flagship show “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” has hovered in the 2 million viewer range for its most recent 10th season, another unscripted offering, “Rich Kids of Beverly Hills,” performs at about half that.
E! uses Nielsen’s Live Plus 3 Day ratings as its baseline, so those will be released later in the week.
“I Am Cait” has an eight episode order on E!
