Jimmy Fallon Auditions to Be Kelly Ripa’s New ‘Live’ Co-Host (Video)

“Tonight Show” host and Roots drummer Questlove play a game of word sneak with morning show mainstay

Jimmy Fallon briefly made the jump from late-night to early-morning when he and Kelly Ripa pretended to be “Live” co-hosts on Wednesday’s “Tonight Show.”

“I’m not doing anything in the mornings, and we do have a little chemistry,” Fallon joked with Ripa, who has been working with a slew of guest co-hosts since Michael Strahan abruptly left the show in May.

The two then moved over to a mock morning show set, where they interviewed Roots drummer Questlove about his new book “Something to Food About,” which is an actual book, by the way.

But since this was “The Tonight Show,” it couldn’t be a normal interview. Instead, Fallon, Ripa, and Questlove played a game of WordSneak, in which you have to get the other person to say a word you have written on a series of note cards.
