Ratings: ‘Once Upon a Time’ Takes Top Slot as ABC and CBS Tie for First

CBS’ police drama “NYC 22” dips further from soft premiere; Fox takes third with 25th Anniversary special

ABC and CBS shared a ratings win Sunday night, while ABC's "Once Upon a Time" was the highest-rated show and CBS drew the most total viewers, according to preliminary numbers.


CBS shared first place in the advertiser-coveted 18-49 demographic with a 1.9 rating/5 share, and took first place in total viewers with an average 10 million. "60 Minutes" at 7 p.m. increased from last week to a 1.7/5 and 12.7 million total viewers. "Amazing Race" the following hour dipped slightly for a 2.5/7 and 9.1 million total viewers. "The Good Wife" at 9 ran even with last week for a 1.8/5 in the demo and 10.3 million total viewers, while "NYC 22" slipped from its soft premiere last week to a 1.4/4 and 7.5 million total viewers.

ABC, like CBS, received an average 1.9/5 in the demo and took second place in total viewers with an average 7.5 million. Following an "America's Funniest Home Videos" at 7, "Once Upon a Time" inched up from its last original three weeks ago for a 2.9/8 — the night's best performance in the demo — and 8.8 million total viewers. The Hallmark Hall of Fame movie "Firelight" at 9 posted a 1.6/4 and 7.6 million total viewers.

Fox, marking its 25th Anniversary celebration, took third place in the demo and fourth in total viewers with an average 1.7/5 and 3.9 million total viewers. Following repeats of the "Married With Children" and "Simpsons" pilots, the 25th Anniversary Special from 8 to 10 drew a 1.8/5 in the demo and 4.3 million total viewers.

NBC came in fourth in the demo and total viewers with an average 1.5/4 and 6.3 million. "Dateline" at 7 dipped in the demo for a 1.2/4 with 4.2 million total viewers. "Harry's Law" the following hour was flat with last week, receiving a 0.9/3 in the demo and 8.5 million total viewers. At 9, "Celebrity Apprentice" dropped 9 percent from last week, receiving a 2.0/5 in the demo with 6.2 million total viewers.
