Razzies Say It Doesn’t Get Any Worse Than ‘Last Airbender’

M. Night Shyamalan’s tops four-and-a-half categories, “Sex and the City 2” takes three

"The Last Airbender" may have made a nice chunk of money during its theatrical run last year, but the widely-derided M. Night Shyamalan action fantasy is now officially enshrined as the worst movie of 2010, according to the connoisseurs of trash who select the annual Golden Raspberry Awards.

The Last AirbenderAt a Hollywood ceremony the night before the Oscars, the film "won" four awards on its own, including Worst Picture, Worst Director, Worst Screenplay and Worst Eye-Gouging Misuse of 3D. It also contributed to the oeuvre of Worst Supporting Actor winner Jackson Rathbone, who was saluted for his roles in that film and in "The Twilight Saga: Eclipse."

Worst Actor and Actress awards went to Ashton Kutcher for "Valentine's Day" and "Killers," and to the four female leads of "Sex and the City 2": Sarah Jessica Parker, Kim Cattrall, Kristin Davis and Cynthia Nixon.

The second "Sex and the City" movie also topped two other categories: Worst Screen Couple or Ensemble, and Worst Prequel, Remake, Rip-off or Sequel.

Worst Supporting Actress Jessica Alba was singled out for "The Killer Inside Me," "Little Fockers," "Machete" and "Valentine's Day."

Unlike last year, when Sandra Bullock showed up to accept her Razzie the day before winning an Oscar, the big "winners" did not appear at the ceremony, which was held at the Barnsdall Gallery Theater.

The choices were made by 637 voters in 46 states and 17 foreign countries.
