As the wheel of video distribution fortune spins around and around, where it will stop, is anybody’s guess. It used to be enough just to have the content to be king. Those days are over.

Between sequelitis, franchise fatigue and now OTT fatigue, it’s no wonder that theater chains across the US are all reporting decreases in attendance. US consumers are more fractured than ever, harder to predict and becoming as difficult to track down as an original story idea.
