The Cookie Monster took a stab at writing late-night jokes for “Jimmy Kimmel Live!” on Thursday.
Unfortunately, it didn’t quite work out because the “Sesame Street” character couldn’t keep his mind off of his favorite vice and relied too heavily on one particular set up.
“Knock, knock,” the Cookie Monster said.
“Who’s there?” Kimmel asked.
You probably have a pretty good idea where this is going.
Cookie Monster’s appearance was part of a press tour for his first-ever one-hour TV special, “The Cookie Thief,” premiering on PBS Kids on Feb. 16.
