A recently unearthed video shows Angelina Jolie delivering a powerhouse performance during an acting class in 2000.
The video shows a 25-year-old Jolie raging at a fellow class member while yelling, “I want to hurt you, I need to hurt you.”
She commits to the haunting and scary monologue by going so far as to cry at the end of it.

Jolie was possibly channeling her inner Lisa, the character she played in “Girl, Interrupted,” which earned her an Oscar for Best Actress in a Supporting Role sometime around the time this video was shot.
The actress, now 40, has starred in “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider,” “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” “Salt” and “Maleficent,” and will be on the big screens alongside husband Brad Pitt for “By the Sea” on Nov. 13. Most recently, she directed “Unbroken.”
