Chris Diamantopoulos, who played alpha-Stooge Moe in the Farrelly brothers' "The Three Stooges" earlier this year, has signed on to appear in multiple episodes of the revived cult favorite "Arrested Development," which will premiere next year on Netflix, an individual with knowledge of the casting told TheWrap.

Details about Diamantopoulos' character were not available.

The actor has also appeared recurrently in ABC's "Up All Night," and will star in the upcoming film "Empire State," alongside Liam Hemsworth and Dwayne Johnson.

With Diamantopoulos' casting, "Arrested Development" takes one step closer to booking every actor ever for its upcoming revival. Liza Grinnell and Henry Winkler are set to reprise their roles from the original run of the series, which aired on Fox, and "Mad Men" star John Slattery will also appear, though details on his character are nebulous. (There's also a contest that Netflix is running, which will give six walk-on parts to fans.)

Originally slated for 10 episodes, the revived "Arrested Development" could receive an extra 3 episodes, series star David Cross revealed in August.

Deadline first reported the news of Diamantopoulos' casting.
