Another cable news programming alert: Tuesday’s episode of the “Factor” is DVR-worthy.
Fox News announced on Monday that Bill O’Reilly is set to interview Whoopi Goldberg — their first public encounter since O’Reilly’s comments about Muslims as a guest on “The View” prompted Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar to storm off their ABC set.
According to Fox, the pair will “discuss rhetoric regarding Muslims that have spurred national debate,” as well as (yawn) Whoopi’s “latest book and film projects.”
Last month, while discussing President Obama's slipping approval rating, O'Reilly brought up the issue of New York's downtown mosque. It quickly unraveled from there, and O'Reilly's assertion that "Muslims killed us on 9/11" set Goldberg and Behar off.
Barbara Walters, Elisabeth Hasselbeck and Sherri Shepherd stayed behind to continue the discussion, with Walters trying to retain some semblance of control.
“You have just seen what should not happen,” Walters told the studio audience. “We should be able to have discussion without washing our hands and screaming and walking off stage. I love my colleagues but that should not have happened.”
