Temporary Marketing Manager (Brand, Sales & Storytelling) – 4-Month Contract (Maternity Leave Coverage)
TheWrap is seeking a temporary Marketing Manager and creative thinker who has a passion for film, television, fashion and pop culture to join our team for a 4 month stint. As Marketing Manager, you will project-manage marketing initiatives, develop compelling decks and materials, collaborate closely with the sales team, and help drive brand awareness across TheWrap’s platforms and events.
Essential Functions:
- Act as a key connector between departments (editorial, events, design, and operations teams) to keep marketing projects moving efficiently. Ensure timelines, deliverables, and stakeholders are aligned.
- Support and ideate on marketing campaigns across digital, email, social, and on-site activations.
- Work closely with the sales team to understand client and partner needs and create marketing decks, one-sheets, and custom materials to support sales efforts.
- Collaborate on sponsorship positioning, brand integrations, and go-to-market materials.
- Monitor and analyze campaign performance, making data-driven adjustments to optimize results.
- Help ideate and develop creative concepts tied to entertainment, culture, and industry trends.
- Help ensure consistency in TheWrap’s brand voice and visuals.
- Assist with audience development and marketing partnerships.
- Assist with other ad hoc marketing initiatives as needed.
Duration: March 16 – End of July 2026. This role is a maternity leave coverage with potential for extension based on business needs and performance (not guaranteed).
Accountability/Supervision: Reports directly to Marketing VP
Working Conditions: 40 hours/week – full time. 4 days in office, 1 day remote.
Required:
- At least 4 years of experience in marketing, brand, or communications (media, entertainment, or lifestyle experience preferred)
- Excellent presentation and deck-building skills (Canva / Google Slides)
- Solid understanding of fundamental marketing principles including online/digital, product development
- Accuracy and attention to detail is essential
- Strong research and analysis skills, with the ability to generate insights based on data
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, to interface with internal staff, vendors and clients
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Tech savvy: Being able to figure out solutions on the fly
Salary range: $5,000–$5,800 per month, commensurate with experience (4-month contract role; no benefits).
