Meryl Streep Fails Jimmy Kimmel’s Oscar Quiz About Herself (Video)

Streep has racked up 20 nominations

Meryl Streep has been nominated for 20 Academy Awards, and Jimmy Kimmel decided to put the iconic actress to the test on Monday’s show.

Kimmel challenged Streep to name every movie where she received an Oscar nomination in 60 seconds, with a bonus Oscar on the line. Streep got off to a good start, naming “The French Lieutenant’s Woman,” “Kramer vs Kramer” and “Sophie’s Choice” in succession, but quickly became flustered — even her glasses went askew.

“Oh god,” Streep said when she had trouble remembering her nominated roles. “See, I can’t remember last Thursday, but I can remember the olden days.”

“That one wasn’t in there, either,” Kimmel joked.

Streep also named “Out of Africa” and “Cry in the Dark”– to which Kimmel reminded Streep that she wasn’t nominated for her role in the latter. “Why?!” Streep asked. “You were robbed,” Kimmel said, and Streep agreed.

Streep eventually was able to name five out of 20, and Kimmel kept the extra Oscar for himself.

Kimmel is hosting the 90th Academy Awards ceremony on March 4.
