Uber, 20th Century Fox Partner to Promote Colin Firth’s ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service’

Matthew Vaughn’s spy movie co-starring Samuel L. Jackson and Mark Strong opens Feb. 13

Uber and 20th Century Fox are partnering to bring Uber riders exclusive access to Matthew Vaughn‘s spy thriller “Kingsman: The Secret Service” in 50 cities on Jan. 15, one month before the film hits theaters on Feb. 13.

Users in participating cities will have the opportunity to enter to win two passes to an advance screening by entering a designated code in the Uber app starting on Jan. 12 until 10 a.m. local time on Jan. 15. Winners will receive an email confirmation and theater directions for the screening.

“Uber is the perfect partner to execute a never been done before experience around our highly anticipated movie ‘Kingsman: The Secret Service.’ We have a film that audiences are responding to in an amazing way, so we wanted Uber and their huge base of users to help spread the word,” said Marc Weinstock, president of marketing at 20th Century Fox.

“This is an exciting, first-of-its-kind promotion that enables Uber users in 50 cities nationwide to get a sneak peek of one of the most anticipated films of the year — all in one night. We are thrilled to work with 20th Century Fox to offer this promotion to thousands of our users,” said Amy Friedlander Hoffman, Uber’s head of business development, west coast.

In addition to winning free tickets to the early screening, riders in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Toronto and Washington D.C. can arrive in style via the Kingsman vehicle experience. From 4.30 to 6.30 p.m. local time, Uber users that select the “KINGS” vehicle option within the Uber app will be eligible to receive two free tickets to the “Kingsman” screening, a complimentary ride to the theater and a Kingsman swag bag. Rides are limited and on a first come first served basis.

Three winners will also get to make a grand entrance at the event screening of “Kingsman: The Secret Service” in New York City on Feb. 9th. Each rider that enters the designated code into the Uber app will automatically be entered to win the sweepstakes, and fans outside of those cities can enter code “KINGSMAN” into the Uber app and also be entered to win a trip to the New York City event screening.

The film stars Colin Firth, Samuel L. Jackson, Mark Strong, Taron Egerton and Michael Caine. The screenplay is by Jane Goldman and Vaughn, based upon the comic book “The Secret Service” by Mark Millar and Dave Gibbons.  The producers are Vaughn, David Reid and Adam Bohling.
