VH1 Pulls Plug on ‘Hindsight’ Just Before Starting Production on Season 2

Decision comes after Laura Ramsey drama won renewal in March

“Hindsight” will not return for a second season on VH1, despite having been renewed in March.

“We love ‘Hindsight’ and couldn’t be more proud of the series,” the network said in a statement. “But in this overcrowded and rapidly changing climate, we need to carve out VH1’s distinct place in the scripted marketplace and deliver the biggest audiences possible for our series. As a result, we’re no longer moving forward with a second season of the show.”

The series followed Becca (Laura Ramsey, pictured above), who’s approaching 40 years old and a second marriage. But, she’s feeling there’s something missing, her long-estranged best friend Lolly (Sarah Goldberg). As she’s feeling mixed feelings, she wakes up to discover she has somehow traveled 15 years into the past as she’s approaching her first marriage with Sean (Craig Horner).

Emily Fox executive produced the series with Carl Beverly, Sarah Timberman, Maggie Malina and VH1’s Susan Levison and Jill Holmes.

Below is the full statement from VH1.

“Scripted series have been a successful part of VH1’s primetime line-up since 2010 and will continue to be in the future.

We love ‘Hindsight’ and couldn’t be more proud of the series. But in this overcrowded and rapidly changing climate, we need to carve out VH1’s distinct place in the scripted marketplace and deliver the biggest audiences possible for our series. As a result, we’re no longer moving forward with a second season of the show.

We’re so appreciative of show creator Emily Fox, the cast, and the creative and production teams and look forward to working with them again.”
