Warner Bros. has been releasing some of the top blockbuster franchises for the last decade, including "Harry Potter," "The Dark Knight" and "The Hangover," but recently the studio has stumbled a bit. Now it's up to "Man of Steel" to swoop into the box office this weekend and save the day.

If successful, the reboot of Superman could launch other DC Comics characters to the big screen. And maybe, the studio will follow in Disney's footsteps by producing "The Justice League," the "Avengers" of the DC universe.
