Cuaron will write and executive-produce with "The Forgotten" creator Mark Friedman. Abrams and his Bad Robot Productions partner Bryan Burk — who produce the hit drama "Revolution" for NBC — will also executive produce.

The project comes from Warner Brothers Television and Bad Robot.

It's been a busy Friday for Abrams, who's also been tapped to direct the next "Star Wars" film, on the pilot front.  Earlier, Abrams landed a futuristic cop drama with Fox. That project, which is currently untitled and takes place "in the near future, when all LAPD officers are partnered with highly evolved human-like androids," is also executive-produced by Abrams and Burk, with "Fringe" executive-producer J.H. Wyman writing, directing and executive-producing.

On Friday, NBC also ordered the comedy pilot "Undateable," from "Scrubs" creator Bill Lawrence. The multi-camera project revolves around a group of friends dubbed the "Undateables" whose lives are altered when a more confident character enters their world.

Lawrence will executive-produce, along with Jeff Ingold, with whom he's also collaborating on an untitled Fox pilot based on Justin Halpern's book "I Suck at Girls."

"Undateable," which comes from NBC, Warner Bros. Television and Doozer Productions, will be written and executive-produced by Adam Sztykiel ("Due Date," "Made of Honor.")
