Chelsea O’Donnell, the 17-year-old daughter of comedian Rosie O’Donnell, has been found safe after being reported missing earlier this week.

O’Donnell, who earlier Tuesday had announced Chelsea’s disappearance via her website, tweeted later in the afternoon that her daughter had been located.

“Chelsea has been found and is safe in police custody — thank u all for the help and light #missingchildren,” O’Donnell wrote.

The younger O’Donnell was reported missing in Nyack, New York, and police had been searching for her since Sunday, the former “The View” personality wrote on her website Tuesday. O’Donnell added that her daughter had stopped taking her medication and was in need of medical attention.

Chelsea (pictured above at right) was last seen Aug. 11, wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark ripped blue jeans, women’s grey Converse sneakers and a black backpack. She left home with her therapy dog, a six-month-old, nine-pound black terrier named Bear.

A spokesman for the South Nyack-Grand View Police Department told TheWrap that O’Donnell was found by an agency in New Jersey, and that both she and her dog were fine. No further information was available.
