Grodd is returning to Central City, and he has unfinished business with Dr. Caitlin Snow, in a new episode of CW’s “The Flash.”
In this exclusive clip (above), the psychic gorilla confronts Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) with an unusual request after kidnapping her.
“The Flash” showrunner Andrew Kreisberg previously teased that “Caitlin plays Fay Wray to Grodd’s Kong,” and that’s certainly evident in the new clip, with Caitlin wearing a white dress and all as she comes face to face with the animal she helped raise.
In Season 1, it was revealed that Grodd was a test subject at S.T.A.R. Labs, where he was experimented on and formed an early bond with Panabaker’s scientist character. After the particle accelerator explosion made Grodd’s psychic powers manifest themselves, he escaped the lab and sought shelter in the sewers of Central City. Ultimately, Caitlin, Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Wells (Tom Cavanagh) had to turn on their former subject in order to save Barry (Grant Gustin).
In the new clip, Grodd asks Caitlin to explain how he became the supernaturally strong and intelligent creature he is now, and then becomes more aggressive as he demands she make more like him.
“The Flash” airs Tuesdays at 8 p.m. on The CW.
