Comedy Central announced Tuesday that the second half of the 15th season of "South Park" will begin October 5 at 10 p.m.
The network has unleashed an onslaught of publicity heralding the long-running cartoon's milestone year, including a deal with Walmart and Frito-Lay to produce 1.5 million bags of Cheesy Poofs, the snack preferred by our pal Eric Cartman.

Comedy Central also announced that it had committed to a second season of the zany sketch series "Nick Swardson's Pretend Time," which will premiere immediately after the fall return of "South Park.
"We sent Nick off to therapy after season one," said Kent Alterman, Comedy Central head of original programming and production, "so we're confident he will be even more in touch with his dark, demented side for season two."
"I am very excited to be back for a second season," said Swardson, pictured at right. "I feel that now, more than ever, our country needs to see a cat in a wheelchair doing cocaine. As do the children."
