2011 Golden Globes Set for Jan. 16

NBC again will broadcast the awards show live from the Beverly Hilton Hotel

The 68th annual Golden Globe Awards will be presented on Sunday, Jan. 16, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association announced Monday.

NBC will broadcast the awards show from the Beverly Hilton Hotel at 8 p.m. EST/5 p.m. PST.

The Golden Globes are produced by Dick Clark Productions in association with the HFPA. The 2010 awards show, which was seen in more than 160 countries, saw its total viewership rise 14% from the previous year’s show; it drew NBC’s biggest non-sports audience in the time period in six years.

The HFPA also said it has retained Sunshine Sachs & Associates to handle corporate communications and press surrounding the organization’s events, including the Golden Globes. The account will be managed by agency founder and president Ken Sunshine and West Coast director Keleigh Thomas.

Sunshine Sachs & Associates, founded in 1992, is a public relations consulting firm with offices in New York and Los Angeles. Its clients include prominent entertainment organizations, films, celebrity personalities, celebrity chefs, restaurants, public figures, corporations, political personalities, labor unions and health care institutions.

Sunshine Sachs replaces the Michael Russell Group.
