Ipsos Buys Online Research Firm OTX

Market research giant adds online expertise to its arsenal

International market-research firm Ipsos has acquired the Online Testing Exchange, Jean-Marc Lech and Didier Truchot, co-presidents, announced Thursday.

An online research firm, OTX specializes combining internet tools with traditional marketing to provide strategies for the entertainment, advertising and consumer goods industries.
The price was not disclosed. OTX did $60 million in revenue in 2009.

It employs more than 200 employees and has offices in Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Cincinnati, Miami and London.

Founded in 2000 as a division of iFilm, it was acquired in 2004 by the Pilot Group, ZelnickMedia and Shelley Zalis, OTX’s founder and CEO, in 2004.

“OTX has a strong culture of innovation,” Truchot said in a statement. “It has created a next generation market research company integrating traditional and new media. Its expertise fits perfectly with Ipsos.”
