No choice but to keep getting it on: Adam Carolla, an early adopter of the podcasting medium, has extended his PodcastOne deal for five more years, through 2023.

“The Adam Carolla Show” is the Guinness Book of World Records holder for Most Downloaded Podcast. He and PodcastOne will continue their joint production, distribution, marketing and sales deal for Carolla’s entire collection of podcasts, which total more than 15 hours of original programming weekly. In addition to main show “ACS,” that also includes “Reasonable Doubt,” “Adam & Drew,” “Carcast,” “Ace on the House” and more.

“I started podcasting 10 years ago to escape working for ‘the man,’” Carolla said on Thursday. “Since the time I teamed up with PodcastOne six years ago, they’ve brought advertisers and audience to our business. They’ve been a sensational partner. Now that they’re leading the industry, I’m not working for ‘the man,’ I’m working with ‘a man,’ and we have a history that goes back nearly three decades. It’s a true partnership, and I can’t wait for the growth that we’ll achieve together over the next five years.”

“I met Adam over 25 years ago when I signed him to ‘Loveline’ at Westwood One,” added PodcastOne chairman & CEO, and Westwood One founder, Norm Pattiz. “He’s charted the way for the many who have come after him in podcasting and it’s great to continue our partnership. He is the all-time revenue leader, and the all-time most downloaded podcaster. Plus, he’s the hardest working guy in podcasting. The next five years are sure to bring more growth, success and surprises.”

“The Adam Carolla Show” is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.
