The Harmons are back, and settling right into their forever murder house — we mean, home.
“American Horror Story” creator Ryan Murphy shared the first look of Connie Britton and Dylan McDermott, stars of Season 1’s “Murder House,” on the set for the upcoming Season 8, “Apocalypse.”
TheWrap exclusively reported Britton and McDermott’s return to the anthology series this week; McDermott began filming his scenes on Wednesday, and Britton began filming on Friday.
No details were given on who the stars will be playing this season — which is a crossover between “Murder House” and “Coven” (Season 3). But it would be safe to assume they are reprising their roles as married couple Ben and Vivien Harmon from Season 1, as it was also previously reported that Taissa Farmiga will reprise her role as the Harmons’ daughter, Violet.
Farmiga will also be reprising her role as the young, troubled witch Zoe from “Coven,” the other season included in the crossover.
In case you forgot why Britton and McDermott would be so integral to the upcoming story, allow us to remind you that in Season 1, Vivien gave birth to twins after being raped by Tate (Evan Peters). Tate’s mother, Constance (Jessica Lange), adopted the one living baby, his demonic offspring Michael, who was last seen giggling as a toddler, covered in blood, after murdering his babysitter in the Season 1 finale.
The entire Harmon family (with the exception of Michael) ended the season deceased — but were living happily as ghosts in the Murder House in the final episode. Cody Fern has been cast as a grownup Michael in “Apocalypse,” so we’ll see how that works out for the Harmons — and the rest of humanity — come Season 8.
“Connie and Dylan. The Harmon’s [sic] in their forever AHS home…Murder House,” Murphy captioned the tease on Saturday.
