A new teaser video and motion poster promoting FX’s “American Horror Story: Coven” give more signs that viewers should expect the new season of the horror series to be as sexual as it is scary.
Following up on a previously released poster featuring a snaky threesome, the motion poster features a snake slithering in and out of three female mouths, while a quick TV spot (above) highlights an entire snake taking a dive down a single throat.

The third iteration of Ryan Murphy and Brad Falchuk’s “Horror Story” takes place 300 years after the Salem witch trials, with those who managed to escape. Mysterious attacks have been escalating against their kind, and young girls are being sent away to a special school in New Orleans to learn how to protect themselves.
And swallow snakes, presumably.
Newcomers include Kathy Bates, Angela Bassett and Gabourey Sidibe, while Evan Peters, Jessica Lange and Sarah Paulson are returning to play new characters when “AHS: Coven” premieres on Oct. 9.
