MTV released the first promo for the 2015 MTV Movie Awards featuring Anna Kendrick and show host Amy Schumer on Thursday.
In the promo, Kendrick wonders why exactly she has to meet Schumer beforehand, only for Schumer to appear out of nowhere and immediately become overly friendly with Kendrick.
Kendrick does her best to keep her cool, despite Schumer’s best efforts. In addition to violating Kendrick’s personal space over and over, Schumer asks her a series of nonsensical questions, like “Are you related to Kendrick Lamar?”
In the promo’s funniest moment, Schumer seems to be setting Kendrick up to play “Cups,” a song she made famous in “Pitch Perfect.” Instead, Schumer invites her to play a game of beer pong. After a ball lands in one of the cups, Schumer chugs it. Ping pong ball and all.
