Amy Schumer, Steve Carrell Team for Rebecca Miller’s ‘She Came to Me’

OddLot’s dramedy also recruits Nicole Kidman

Amy Schumer, Steve Carrell and Nicole Kidman are set to team up for a new dramedy with “Maggie’s Plan” director Rebecca Miller.

Gigi Pritzker‘s OddLot Entertainment will produce Miller’s original screenplay with the filmmaker’s own Round Films.

The project is described as two intertwining love stories “set in the world of contemporary Opera and tug boats.”

Pritzger will produce with Rachel Shane and Melissa Rucker on behalf of OddLot. Miller’s partner Damon Cardasis will oversee for Round Films.

Academy Award® Nominee Steve Carell, Amy Schumer and Academy Award® Winner Nicole Kidman sign on to Rebecca Miller’s new film, SHE CAME TO ME, which will be produced under Miller and Damon Cardasis’ banner Round Films, alongside OddLot Entertainment’s Gigi Pritzker and Rachel Shane with Melissa Rucker overseeing for OddLot. Miller wrote the film and is set to direct.

Propelled by two intertwining love stories, SHE CAME TO ME is a sweeping comedic drama, set in the world of contemporary Opera and tug boats, that cuts into the layer cake of American society with wit and heart. Steve Carell, Nicole Kidman, and Amy Schumer are set to star in this surprising, funny, and inspiring multigenerational story about family and the complexities of modern life.

Miller, repped by CAA, has previously written and directed MAGGIE’S PLAN, THE PRIVATE LIVES OF PIPPA LEE, THE BALLAD OF JACK AND ROSE, PERSONAL VELOCITY and ANGELA.

Carell (THE BIG SHORT, FOX CATCHER, and THE WAY WAY BACK) is repped by WME and Steve Sauer of Media Four Management, Schumer (SNATCHED, TRAINWRECK) by UTA and Carrie Byalic of B Company, and Kidman (“Big Little Lies,” LION and THE HOURS) by CAA.

OddLot Entertainment, a division of Madison Wells Media, recently co-produced and co-financed the critically acclaimed and Academy Award®-nominated film HELL OR HIGH WATER written by Taylor Sheridan.
