Samuel Goldwyn Films has acquired all U.S. rights to Freida Mock’s documentary "Anita," which recently screened as part of the Human Rights Watch Film Festival following its Sundance debut earlier this year.
The company plans to release the film this fall.
"Anita" reveals a rare glimpse into her private life with friends and family; she speaks openly and intimately for the first time about her experiences that led her to testify before the Senate about sexual harassment she endured while working with U.S. Supreme Court nominee Clarence Thomas.
Hill’s graphic testimony was a turning point for gender equality in the U.S. and ignited a political firestorm about sexual misconduct and power in the workplace.
Mock wrote, directed and produce "Anita," which was executive produced by Geralyn Dreyfous, Regina Kulik Scully and Freada Klein. Dan Cogan co-executive produced and Barbara Lee served as associate executive producer.

The deal was negotiated by Ian Puente for Samuel Goldwyn Films and by CAA and Marc Simon at Cowan DeBaets Abrahams & Sheppard on behalf of the filmmaker.
