The Backstreet Boys are back … again.

The once-ubiquitous 1990s boy band is back in the studio working on a new album, as well as a collaboration with the popular group Florida Georgia Line.

Nick Carter dropped the news on his Instagram account, writing, “In the studio with my @backstreetboys recording a song for @flagaline new album. Also working on the new backstreet album as well. Get ready!!!”

The Backstreet Boys — Carter, Howie Dorough, A. J. McLean, Brian Littrell and Kevin Richardson — hit their stride with the release of their self-titled debut album back in 1996. They followed that up with hit albums like “Backstreet’s Back” and “Millennium” in 1997 and 1999, respectively.

The boy/man band took a break around the turn of the century but regrouped for the 2005 album “Never Gone.” Most recently, they released “In a World Like This” in 2013.

Back in November, the group appeared sans Carter on the Neil Patrick Harris NBC variety show “Best Time Ever.” The boys whipped out an extra microphone for their host before jumping into a choreographed rendition of their 1999 hit, “I Want It That Way” for the show’s “Sing-Along Live” segment.

Members of the group also appeared in the Syfy original movie “Dead 7,” which was written by and co-starred Carter. Other former pop stars also appeared in the movie, including members of 98 Degrees, O-Town and NSYNC.
