EE British Academy Film Ceremony sets calendar for next 3 years

Mark your calendars, fans of English, Scottish and Welsh entertainment: The British Academy of Film and Television Arts has set aside Friday, Oct. 30, 2015 for the BAFTA Los Angeles Britannia Awards.

The group has also established dates for the next three years of EE British Academy Film Awards: Sunday, Feb. 14, 2016; Sunday, Feb. 12, 2017; and Sunday, Feb. 18, 2018.

The BAFTAs will take place at the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles. The annual Britannia Awards — which run early in awards season — are bestowed upon the best creative talents in the industry for their contribution to the long-standing collaboration between the U.K. and U.S. industries.

Previous honorees have included Sir Anthony Hopkins, Dame Judi Dench, George Clooney, Martin Scorsese, Dame Helen Mirren, Idris Elba, Benedict Cumberbatch, Kate Winslet, Daniel Craig, Robert Downey Jr. and Emma Watson.

The EE British Academy Film Awards are BAFTA’s highest film honors, rewarding the best work of any nationality seen on British cinema screens. That ceremony is held at London’s Royal Opera House and be broadcast by the BBC.

Other annual BAFTA ceremonies include the British Academy Games Awards, Television Awards, Television Craft Awards, Cymru Awards, Scotland Awards, Scotland New Talent Awards, Children’s Awards and the Student Film Awards in the U.S.
