‘Beauty and the Beast’ Final Trailer Teases Epic John Legend, Ariana Grande Duet (Video)

Live-action remake of classic Disney tale will premiere on March 17

In the final trailer for “Beauty and the Beast,” we get a brief sample of John Legend and Ariana Grande singing the classic title song made famous by the original film over 25 years ago.

The song, with music by Alan Menken and lyrics by Howard Ashman, was originally sung by Angela Lansbury in the 1991 original animated film. The song won Menken an Oscar for Best Original Song, while he also won for Best Original Score.

In the live action remake, Belle (Emma Watson) sacrifices herself to save her father by going to live at the home of the Beast (Dan Stevens). But over time she learns that he was once a dashing prince, cursed to look like a monster and that only true love can break the spell.

The film also stars Kevin Kline as Maurice, Josh Gad a Le Fou, Stanley Tucci as Cadenza and Emma Thompson as Mrs. Potts. Jeffrey Silver, Thomas Schumacher and Don Hahn serve as executive producers with David Hoberman and Todd Lieberman producing.

“Beauty and the Beast” is due in theaters on March 17.
