Ben Affleck’s Reaction to ‘Batman v Superman’ Reviews Is Latest in ‘Sad Batman’ Meme Machine (Video)

Video of the actor looking depressed while talking about negative reviews for the film has gone viral

A video of Ben Affleck looking sad while talking about the negative reviews for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has gone viral Friday, but this isn’t the first time Batman has been sad.

In fact, two years ago, director Zack Snyder teased the world with a photo of Batman in his new Batsuit and Batmobile. Fans were quick to point out the sad expression on the Caped Crusader’s face, and took to social media to post hilarious memes of the superhero getting a parking ticket, dropping his ice cream, or spilling his water.

And now they are being resurfaced in light of #SadBenAffleck.

In a video released by Yahoo! Movies on Thursday, Affleck and costar Henry Cavill were discussing the bashing the superhero film has gotten ahead of its Friday release, which led to a 30 percent Rotten Tomatoes score.

Cavill was the one to talk about the reviews in the video, with Affleck simply stating that he agreed with his co-star, while looking down forlornly at the floor.

Lucky for us, some genius on the Internet took the video and added Simon and Garfunkel’s “The Sound of Silence” as background music while zooming in on the actor’s face.

Using the hashtag #SadBenAffleck, Twitter users have started to post memes and GIFs of the Affleck’s expression.
