Looks like the cast of “The Big Bang Theory” will be having themselves a ball — or several — on this week’s episode.
But for series star Kaley Cuoco, the levity is apparently a touch bittersweet.
Cuoco hit up Instagram on Thursday to offer fans a behind-the-scenes look at the upcoming episode of the CBS hit, revealing that Penny, Sheldon and the gang will be taking aim at each other in a paintball game.
Cuoco also reflected on the fact that the series is preparing to wrap up after its current 12th and final season, saying that the fact that the show is drawing to a close is “getting very very real.”
In the post, Cuoco and her co-stars are sporting camouflage outfits as they gather together for a group shot.
“Don’t miss an all new @bigbangtheory_cbs TONIGHT where we engage in a friendly game of paintball,” Cuoco wrote.
The actress added, “the realization we are coming to an end is getting very very real,” punctuating the sentiment with a crying-face emoji.
Cuoco wasn’t the only one to get emotional over the approaching swan song for the series, judging from the comments section.
“You can’t end the show. You can’t. It’s not fair!!!” protested one fan.
“Millions will cry when it ends!” another fan predicted. “I know I will. M.A.S.H. was a big part of my life. You guys will always be!”
“I am going to miss watching y’all every week! I haven’t enjoyed watching a show lime this since Friends!!” yet another fan offered.
