Looks like “The Big Bang Theory” stars Jim Parsons and Mayim Bialik had quite the meeting of the minds on Monday. Or at least a meeting of the noggins.
As the CBS comedy prepares to come to a close with the upcoming end of its 12th and final season, Bialik went on up her Instagram page on Monday to post a sweet photo of herself and co-star Parsons, who plays onscreen husband Sheldon to Bialik’s Amy on the series.
In the photo, Parsons are seen with their heads touching, smiles lighting up their faces.
In a message accompanying the photo, Bialik asked fans if the two were beginning to resemble each other, like “the old married couple we are.”
“Is it just me or are we starting to look more and more alike? Like the old married couple we are,” Bialik wrote, adding the hashtags “#timetogo #bigbangtheory” and “#lastfewepisodes.”
“You two look like brother and sister,” one fan wrote in reply.
“Yeah, you do look alike… more like brother and sister!” another fan wrote.
“Omfg!!! You trully [sic] look alike! Like Jhon [sic] and Yoko!” yet another fan chimed in.
More than one fan took the opportunity to lament that the series is ending soon, with one commenter writing, “Oh I love this!!!! I’m soooooo sad it’s ending.”
Last month, CBS announced that “The Big Bang Theory” will end its run with its 279th episode, an hour-long series finale on Thursday, May 16 from 8 to 9 p.m. ET/PT.
“Big Bang Theory” star Johnny Galecki reacted after the series finale date for the comedy was announced, calling the 12-season journey and its impending end “VERY surreal.”
“273 episodes filmed. 26 days left on the Big Bang stage. 6 episodes to be filmed. 66 days until the 1 hour finale airs. All VERY surreal,” Galecki wrote.
