‘Big Bang Theory’s’ Jim Parsons’ Big Beg to NBA Center Dwight Howard (Video)

The CBS star asks the player to join his favorite team, the Houston Rockets

Jim Parsons of "The Big Bang Theory" really wants Dwight Howard to join his favorite professional basketball team, the Houston Rockets.

On Friday, Daryl Morey, the general manager of the NBA team, posted a webcam video of a semi-groveling Parsons asking Howard, who is a free agent after playing for the Los Angeles Lakers this season, to choose the team. Morey has implemented several ploys such as this one to attempt to woo the player. Though if he is trying to compete actor-for-actor with the Lakers — the other frontrunner for the center — Morey and Parsons are sorely overmatched.

In the 95-second clip, Parsons pitches Houston as the destination of choice for Howard. The actor says the team has all the pieces in place to be a winner, minus an elite big man like Howard.

Parsons, who grew up watching and idolizing former Houston center Hakeem Olajuwon, promised Howard that "no organization and no fan base understands and respects the role that an all time great center … plays in winning championships."

Parsons believes adding Howard to the Rockets would equal multiple trophies. No word yet if any of those will be from his collection of Emmys.

Here's the plea video.
