Bill Murray Makes Super-Fabulous Liberace-Style Entrance on ‘Letterman’ (Video)

Bill Murray brings the glitz hard to help Letterman celebrate his 20th anniversary

Watch out, Michael Douglas; there’s a new Liberace impersonator in town.

Bill Murray turns the dazzle factor up to 11 on Thursday’s episode of “Late Show With David Letterman,” dropping in Liberace-style to help Letterman celebrate 20 years on CBS. (“Late Show With David Letterman” actually premiered Aug. 30, 1993, but who’s quibbling, with this kind of fabulousness to bathe in?)

Decked out in a cape and what we’re hoping was a wig, Murray arrived on stage in a white Rolls Royce, a strapping blond man-servant opening the door for Murray as he emerged from the vehicle, cradling a toy poodle in his arms.

“Wow. Delightful …I didn’t know you had a dog,” Letterman marveled as the tinkly piano music died down.

“I had to get something that went with this outfit,” Murray quipped back.
