Ahead of “Bones” and “Sleepy Hollow” airing crossover episodes Thursday, Fox has released a new teaser giving fans an inside look at the Halloween event.
In the video preview, the stars of the two shows, David Boreanez and Emily Deschanel of “Bones” and Tom Mison and Nicole Beharie of “Sleepy Hollow” tease the crossover event in which they appear on each others’ shows.
While Mison’s Ichabod Crane promises “a mystery of the highest magnitude,” and “Bones’” Jack Hodgins suspects “something otherworldly,” Deschanel is less impressed. “Just like, basically, another ‘Bones’ episode,” she jokes.
The crossover begins with “Bones,” when the grisly discovery of human remains lead Booth and Brennan on a hunt for clues, during which they encounter Ichabod Crane and Abbie Mills, searching for answers of their own. Realizing that they are after the same evidence, they team up to solve the mystery.
Immediately afterward on “Sleepy Hollow,” Ichabod’s old nemesis returns from the dead. Ichabod and Abbie need advanced forensic help and expertise to stop him and turn to Brennan and Booth to unlock 18th-century secrets using 21st-century science.
The “Bones”/”Sleepy Hollow” crossover airs Thursday, Oct. 29 at 8 p.m.
