She earned an Oscar nomination this year for her performance in “American Hustle,” David O. Russell‘s fictionalized telling of the Abscam Scandal. Adams  plays Sydney Prosser, Christian Bale‘s paramour and partner in crime. The two try to pull off the con of a lifetime with the help of an FBI agent.
