Broad Green Pictures Names Jeremy Fuchs Chief Technology Officer

The Lionsgate and WB veteran will lead the company’s consolidated IT strategy, delivery and operations

Broad Green Pictures has hired Jeremy Fuchs as its Chief Technology Officer, a role that will see him lead the company’s consolidated IT strategy, delivery and operations globally,” it was announced Thursday by BGP’s CEO Gabriel Hammond and chief creative officer Daniel Hammond.

Fuchs will work with senior management to develop and leverage new systems and technology that will ultimately support all of the studio’s creative endeavors.

“Starting clean and aligning Broad Green’s business and technology strategies early in the company’s development will enable us to be nimble, innovative, and connected as we build the leading next-generation independent studio,” said Fuchs. “I believe in Gabriel and Daniel’s vision for Broad Green Pictures and I am truly excited to join the executive team to help see that vision realized.”

Fuchs will oversee all technical infrastructure, applications and data security for the company. Within his infrastructure responsibilities, he will lead all activities that support the company’s network, servers, storage, cloud, communications, A/V, desktop and mobile needs. Under applications, his oversight will include: data analytics across all divisions; marketing and distribution systems for theatrical, home entertainment and television; systems for procurement, accounting, planning and reporting; systems for film development, production and acquisition; legal and rights management; HR systems; and custom application development. In addition, he will lead the development of the studio’s information security and content protection strategy, and support its anti-piracy efforts.

“Jeremy is an industry veteran whose contributions at Lionsgate, Warner Bros. and Capgemini have spanned technology solutions and business processes touching on nearly all aspects of studio operations. He is uniquely positioned to understand the role that technology can play in the growth and development of a studio,”the Hammonds said in a joint statement. “We want to give Jeremy every resource possible to continue to lead and innovate in the technology field.”

Fuchs is an information technology leader with 20 years of experience and a successful track record of leveraging technology to achieve real business value. Fuchs comes to BGP from the leadership team of Capgemini’s Media and Entertainment practice, where he advised studio and new media clients here in Los Angeles. Previously, Fuchs spent over 12 years in influential roles in studio IT at both Lionsgate and Warner Bros.
