“Planes, Trains & Automobiles” has nothing on the insane cross-country trip at the center of Tuesday’s landmark episode of “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”
True fans of the Fox comedy series were probably prepared for the show to go all out for its 99th episode (if you need that explained to you, you clearly don’t belong here). However, we’re pretty sure no one could have imagined the shenanigans the precinct takes part in tonight.
Captain Holt (Andre Braugher) learns that he is in the running to become Chief Commissioner of the NYPD – his dream job. But after the group misses their flight back to New York, Jake (Andy Samberg) must devise a variety of ways to get Holt back in time for the interview.
In this clip, exclusive to TheWrap, you will see Jake’s first solution: Rent the world’s grossest RV, appropriately named the “American Creeper.”
Along the way, the gang is forced to stay with some estranged members of the Boyle family, Amy (Melissa Fumero) tries to convince everyone that she can be laid back, Terry (Terry Crews) panics about losing his first class flight, and Charles(Joe Lo Truglio) uncovers some new information about Rosa’s (Stephanie Beatriz) personal life.
So buckle up, fans of the 99. It’s gonna be a bumpy night.
