Bumble has banned guns across its entire platform, announcing that users will no longer be allowed to post pictures of guns on their dating profiles.

“Bumble was founded with safety in mind. From the start, our mission has been to build a social network rooted in respect and kindness,” the dating platform said in a statement. “As mass shootings continue to devastate communities across the country, it’s time to state unequivocally that gun violence is not in line with our values, nor do these weapons belong on Bumble.”

The statement added, “From today on, we will begin the process of moderating all new and previously uploaded photos for the presence of guns (this excludes users in military or law enforcement in uniform). Our terms and conditions will be updated to reflect this decision.”

Bumble also announced it would be making a $100,000 donation to March For Our Lives, the nationwide gun control demonstration happening March 24 planned by students at the Florida high school that was the site of a shooting that killed 17.

Many companies have decided to stop selling assault-style rifles in the aftermath of the shooting and in the midst of a still-present debate about gun control.

Dick’s Sporting Goods announced it would no longer sell AR-15 style rifles and sell guns to anyone under the age of 21. Walmart also raised the minimum age to buy a firearm to 21, while L.L. Bean said it will also no longer sell ammunition to people under 21. And REI, which doesn’t sell guns directly, said it was trying to exert pressure on business partners to stop selling assault-style rifles.
